Gambas

After we crossed the Pyrenees at the beginning of our walk, there have been cyclists on the Camino.   About a week ago, the number increased…. and we found out that a cyclist must ride 200km in order to receive the Compostela (which takes about 3 days).   To bike the entire French Way takes about 2 weeks.

Today, we met a lady who is riding a horse for part of the journey.   Yes,  a horse!   Apparently you can rent a horse for a day, week, or go with a horse rental agency and ride the entire way.   It certainly would help on the uphills!

As we continued, I began thinking of all the ways to Camino:

Walk the Camino
Bike the Camino
Ride the Camino
Enjoy the Camino

Play the Camino
Sing the Camino
Dance the Camino
Whine the Camino
Cry the Camino
Hate the Camino
Pray the Camino

Laugh the Camino
Love the Camino.

Then…. my stomach growled… and I started thinking about Gambas.  “Gamba” is the Spanish word for “Shrimp,”  and as we are nearing the sea, gambas are appearing more on the menu selections at restaurants.  So I kept thinking…..
